Tivoli had a New Year Fireworks Week (Tivoli Fireworks Festival 2011) from 26 of Dec till 30 of Dec, and yesterday was the last day of the festival. It was the first time to get entered in Tivoli purely for fun (I've been here for a company Christmas party but at that time I didn't have any chance to look around in Tivoli park at all), and it was really good. More than I expected!!!
Unfortunately my single-lens reflex camera is currently not available (so saaaad ), so I was only able to take a photo with my poor iPhone 3GS camera... But I hope the photos taken with iPhone still bring you some flavor of Tivoli New Year Festival atmosphere .
This is the main entrance of Tivoli. Actually I guess it's rare to see such a huge cloud of people in Denmark. There were so many people lining up for a ticket and inside as well.
Beautiful entrance gate
Some buildings are Chinese style.
This is the main event of festival: Tivoli Fireworks It's not huge volume of fireworks, but it's very close and feel more homey and cozy in comparison to Japanese fireworks festival in summer.
This should be more beautiful. However, my poor iPhone camera cannot capture the beauty almost at all... disappointed...
Pirate ship merry-go-round. I think it's a bit too fast
Does anybody know "Wagamama", a Japanese restaurant, that's supposed to be famous outside Japan according to my wife's saying? I've never heard of it and never seen them before. In Tivoli there is one "Wagamama". Maybe we'll try it next time.
The fireworks, illuminations, lighting show in the lake etc were very beautiful and definitely worth to see. I've decided coming this event next year again, bringing the single-lens reflex camera .
